The Thiebauthschule is responsible for the entire school enrollment process for children who live in these residential areas:

We receive the names and addresses of school-age children from the residents' registration office.
Cooperation between kindergarten and primary school:
Teachers from primary schools come to the kindergartens at regular intervals. They advise the teachers on the school readiness of individual children or pass on tips and observations that they make in their lessons with the children.
Educators and teachers can give you very good advice as to whether regular school enrollment, early enrollment or deferral is a good decision for your child. The final decision is made by the school management of the primary school in whose catchment area they live.
All children who have turned six by June 30 will be required to attend school in the summer of 2024.
Parents' evening on the subject of school readiness (for the children who attend the kindergartens of our cooperation):

School registration on February 5th, 2024:
You will receive mail with your registration time in good time. Parents of eligible children should contact the school by phone if necessary. We are currently waiting for feedback on school readiness from the kindergarten-primary school cooperation.
These things are needed for registration:
- Birth certificate
- Proof of correct measles vaccination
- if there are decisions about custody arrangements: evidence from the family court
- Please consider whether your child should take part in religious education: We teach Catholic and Protestant children together. Guests of all religions and unbaptized children are welcome.
- Feedback sheet from the health department. You received this when the four-year-old was examined. If you no longer have it, please contact the health department.
- When forming classes, we only take wishes into account if children wish each other. Please arrange this in advance of registration. Every child can express a wish.

9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the traffic training area (Dieselstr 1, Ettlingen)

Thursday, September 12, 2024
2:30 p.m. service in the Johanneskirche
3:30 p.m. Enrollment ceremony in the auditorium of the Thiebauthschule, after which each class has its first lesson. Ends around 5 p.m., for the adults there is a parents' café from the support association.
Due to space constraints, only two adults can accompany the child.
